Every 6 minutes, someone in Australia attempts to take their own life. The 6 Minute Challenge raises awareness around the need for positive mental health.The 6 minute challenge symbolically states that mental health comes first and that each person should look after their mental health as number 1 priority.
Help For A Single Mum Navigating Cancer Treatment
We donated $1250 to Karyn and her newborn baby Billi. At 29 weeks pregnant, Karyn was rushed to hospital for an emergency cesarean and diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer that had spread to her liver, bones and optic nerve. This money helps to support Karyn as she undertakes chemo and looks after a tiny, premi baby. Donation to Focktober
We donated $20,000 worth of $20 gift cards (1,000) to the participants of Frocktober. Frocktober involves participants wearing a dress every day of October to raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research.

Random Act Of Kindness - We Paid 1 Month Lease For A Local Gym
We supported a local gym in our area in Cheltenham, Melbourne in July and surprised them by paying their lease for the 4 weeks they were shut during lockdown. The fitness industry is one of many industries to face financial hardship due to lockdowns and we wanted to show our community champions spirit with this random act of kindness.

Beauty Fridge Donation - RRP Value $114,756
We've been donating to the Australian College Of Nursing since 2020. In March we were so proud to donate 524 beauty fridges to the Australian College of Nursing to thank nurses across the country. Totalling $114,756 RRP of stock, this was our biggest donation yet.

On behalf of one of our loyal customers @luv_melbourne_ we made a small surprise donation towards her Water Challenge 2021 fundraising efforts.
Wateraid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation.

Unicef Emergency Appeal
We donated to the unicef emergency appeal to help the children dying of starvation in Yemen. Yemen is currently devastated by war and this donation helps to provide food, medical treatment, water and sanitation. If you would like to help, you can donate here.

Shhh Silk Pay It Forward
On a frequent basis we do random acts of kindness or pay it forward on our socials. We believe lots of small acts of kindness can make a huge impact.
Shhh Silk Sent Their 2020 Customers each a $50 Gift Card For Christmas.
We sent every customer from 2020 a $50 gift card for Christmas as a thank you for their support in 2020, ending the year with another milestone pay it forward give back.
We donated 5,000 meals to families in need on thanksgiving through Feeding America
SHHH SILK Turned 5 And Paid It Forward By Gifting Customers Free $219 10L Beauty Fridges.
By far our biggest give back in the history of the brand. We manufactured 1,000 x 10L beauty fridges (RRP $219 each) to gift to our customers with every set of pillowcases purchased in Australia for a limited time.
$7,000 Of Silk Face Masks For Secondary Students In Victoria
In October when Victorian secondary schools reopened we donated $7,000 RRP of silk face mask coverings to students.
Thanking Aged Care Workers During Covid-19
We donated an 18 piece outdoor lounge and dining setting to Japara aged care in Windsor , Victoria one of the aged care facilities affected with active covid cases and where our founder's father Jim (pictured) lives with Dementia, to allow staff and residents to enjoy some much needed fresh air and outdoor relaxation.
Supporting Health Care Workers During Covid-19
To show our ongoing support to frontline workers in 2020 we donated eye masks to healthcare workers at Bronx Care Hospital, donated over 400 care products to nursing staff all around Australia through the Australian College of Nursing, and we gifted frontline workers with 50% off all Shhh Silk products. We also donated Olive Oil cakes through Little House Confections & Fuelling The Fearless in LA for hospital staff hospital staff to enjoy.
UNHCR Hand Washing Station
We donated a hand washing station for refugees through UNHCR to assist with hygiene during the pandemic.
We gave away a $5000 business start-up package fully funded by us to one lucky follower.

42 Days Of Giving
For 6 weeks we did a brand funded giveaway every day of Victoria’s stage 4 lockdown for 42 days.
We donated to Antar to support their work for justice, rights and respect for First Peoples.
We donated to Black lives matter in LA
Australian Bush Fires
We set up a funding page to raise money for the bush fire effort. We also donated $10 from every Glow Recipe x Shhh Silk set sold to @wwf_australia and donated thousands of water bottles to firefighters.
We donated silk products to Cancer Chicks which supports women battling cancer in their 20s and 30s and make them feel empowered
Sacred Heart Soup Kitchen
The entire Shhh Silk team volunteered at Sacred Heart Mission to serve food to homeless people.
Sleep For Street
We created a sleep mask for the homeless. The mask is light blocking, to help improve the quality of sleep.
Shhh Silk allows customers to be actively involved in our social impact. With each purchase enabling customers to choose one of the three charities, we donate to on their behalf.
Shhh Silk Sleep Out
The entire Shhh Silk Team spent the night in our warehouse, sleeping on only cardboard for a mattress to raise awareness and funds to help make real change to homelessness. $5 from every order placed in May was put towards breaking the cycle of poverty and homelessness.
Retail Orphan Initiative
Involved in helping ROI (Retail Ophan Initiative) which aims to raise awareness and provide real solutions for more than 400 million children worldwide
Shhh Silk contributed funds to open a closed hospital in Haiti and restore access to medical assistance.
2015 - 2016
Orphans In Tigray
Over 2 years we helped over a thousand orphans in Tigray in their education by providing school books and supplies. During this time we also contributed to the building of a library for students in Tigray.
